Pro Football Focus Ranks Trey Hendrickson Outside NFL's Top-Five Edge Rushers

The Bengals have one of the best edge rushers in the NFL in Trey Hendrickson, who checked in at No. 7 on PFF's ranking of top NFL edge defenders.

Hendrickson just finished second in NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting last season. Myles Garrett, Micah Parsons, T.J. Watt, Nick Bosa, Aidan Hutchinson, and Maxx Crosby ranked above him in that order.

"The 2024 season was the best of Hendrickson’s career," Ryan Smith wrote. "He led the NFL with 17.5 sacks and tied Myles Garrett for the league lead with 83 total pressures, his fourth consecutive season with 70 or more. His 20.0% pass-rush win rate tied Nick Bosa for the third-best mark in the league."

It's honestly take your pick with all of those top edge rushers besides Garrett who has largely sat at the top spot this entire decade. The position is loaded at the top and represents a key factor in making deep postseason runs.

Crosby and Garrett have both inked new contracts this offseason, while Hendrickson and Parsons are trying to be next in line for big deals.
