Projecting three future Hall of Famers for the Green Bay Packers

The Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2024 will officially be inducted on Aug. 3.

With less than a month until the annual event in Canton, Ohio, we're examining which players — past and present — on the league's 32 teams we think will one day receive a similar honor.

Here are three Green Bay Packers who should eventually receive football immortality:

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers

Things didn't end well for Rodgers in Green Bay, resulting in a trade to the New York Jets in 2023. But when, not if, the four-time MVP gets into Canton, it will be as a member of the Packers.

Rodgers is still active, so it'll be a while before he receives a gold jacket. But, even by then, his numbers will still be among the best ever.

A 10-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro, Rodgers ranks in the top 10 in passing yards (ninth), completions (eighth) and touchdown passes (fifth).

Rodgers has recorded 59,055 passing yards, 5,001 completions and 475 touchdowns. Per Stathead, he's one of only five quarterbacks to reach those numbers in NFL history, joined by Hall of Famers Brett Favre and Peyton Manning, along with Tom Brady and Drew Brees, who are both Canton-bound. However, Rodgers has the best passer rating among the group at 103.6, the highest in NFL history.

Perhaps most important to his resume, Rodgers brought the Lombardi Trophy home in 2011, winning MVP honors in Super Bowl XLV.

Linebacker Clay Matthews

Already a multiple-time Hall of Fame semifinalist, Matthews should, one day, earn enshrinement into Canton.

A six-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro doesn't scream Hall of Famer, but Matthews' versatility set him apart. A slasher with a never-ending motor, his impact on the defensive side of the ball was evident, but his production was also hard to rival.

Matthews is one of only five linebackers in NFL history to post at least 383 solo tackles, 91.5 sacks and 17 forced fumbles over their career, joined by Von Miller, Joey Porter, Terrell Suggs and Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware. Meanwhile, regardless of position, he ranks among the top 20 in quarterback hits (200, 12th) and tackles for loss (130, 19th).

Wide receiver Davante Adams

Adams, now a member of the Las Vegas Raiders, is entering his 11th NFL season, having already carved out a Hall of Fame resume.

Since Adams entered the league in 2014, no player has recorded more receiving yards (10,781), receptions (872) or touchdowns (95). Meanwhile, only Larry Fitzgerald and Antonio Gates have yet to earn busts in Canton among the nine former players who reached or surpassed those numbers.

Furthermore, Adams ranks 44th all-time in receiving yards, 29th in receptions and 12th in touchdown catches. He'll be 32 when the 2024 season begins, seemingly with several years or more left in the tank to climb those lists.
