Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders won just five games in the 2025 season and missed the playoffs. At 5-12, they finished third in the division and 14th in the entire NFC.

Daniels played just seven games throughout the campaign due to multiple injuries, having dealt with a knee sprain, a hamstring strain and an elbow injury. He missed three straight games in November due to a dislocated elbow, and when he returned in Week 14, he aggravated the injury after getting pushed to the ground.

The 25-year-old QB was eventually shut down for the rest of the season, with the Commanders struggling even more to get anything going.

Despite Daniels' injury and the Commanders' ugly season, it didn't stop sports card collectors from investing in the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

According to Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), the leading third-party company to authenticate, assess and grade sports cards, Daniels was the most-graded athlete of 2025 in the football category.

There were only three states where Jayden was not the most-graded athlete: Colorado where Denver Broncos star Bo Nix beat him; Illinois where Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams dominated, and; Minnesota where Minnesota Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy was the top guy.

The interest in Daniels intensified after his big rookie year in 2024 when he led the Commanders to the playoffs for the first time in four years and propelled the team all the way to the conference championship.

While the Commanders lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, Daniels' early success convinced many that he's the next big thing in football.

It's unfortunate that Daniels had to deal with several injuries. That said, there will certainly be plenty of eyes on him when he gets back to full health next season, especially from collectors hoping to see him return to his dominant self.
