Puka Nacua, Alaric Jackson Attending Rams Training Camp

Nacua is currently facing a civil lawsuit alleging that he made multiple antisemitic statements to a woman before biting her on the shoulder. The victim’s attorney released an image of the bite this week, the authenticity of which was challenged by Nacua’s lawyer, per Steve Hanson of the Los Angeles Times.

Nacua could have also faced misdemeanor battery charges in Los Angeles, but he is instead going through “pre-filing diversion,” according to Hanson. The charges will be dropped if he fulfills the terms of an agreement with the city attorney’s office.

The 25-year-old wide receiver was a full participant in the Rams’ offseason program after checking himself into a rehab facility in March. He is eligible for a long-term contract extension that would pay him upwards of $40MM per year, but progress on a deal has been impacted by Nacua’s off-field situations.

Jackson was arrested on domestic battery charges in June but is also going through a pretrial diversion program. Upon completion, his charges will be dropped, though the case will remain open until the statute of limitations expires. A civil suit stemming from the same incident was dismissed.

The NFL typically waits for players’ legal processes to play out before levying punishment. None has been discussed for Nacua, but Jackson could still face discipline. He previously served a two-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy in 2024.
