The Las Vegas Raiders are on a mission to completely rebuild their franchise. First, they traded defensive end Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens to secure two first-round picks. Next, they went after guard Alex Cappa and lastly did away with quarterback Geno Smith's $75 million contract to save over $18 million in cap space.

Smith's release was an expected move from the franchise. Smith finished a disappointing 3-14 season with 3,025 passing yards and a 67.4% completion rate. He made 19 touchdown passes but was intercepted 17 times. However, Las Vegas is still open to trade offers before the start of the new league year.

But Smith got a new offer just hours after getting released, and it was not from another franchise. It was from a well-known American food chain, Wendy's.

"In case things don’t work out in free agency, we’re looking for a Chief Tasting Officer…" they posted on X, replying to Adam Schefter's tweet reporting the news. Well, it didn't sit too well with Smith.

Though Smith didn't explicitly reject the offer, he was pretty brutal with his responses. "Get ya cheese up 1st," he said with a screenshot of a report by Jonathan Maze of Restaurant Business Magazine detailing that Wendy's sales fell by 11.3% last quarter, one of the worst drops in 20 years.

"Out here selling poison, trying to get jokes off on Twitter. Society in shambles," Smith added. "This beef is about as real as the beef in those patties they’re selling."

Even if it's not a no, he is never going to take up the Wendy's offer. The fast food chain is yet to respond to Smith's replies.

After Schefter's report, the signal caller took to X to announce that he plans to play football for at least another six years. "Let’s see what this next 6 years has to offer. God is REAL"
