Superstar quarterback Trevor Lawrence has cleared the latest hurdle en route to becoming the top pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.
NFL Media's Tom Pelissero tweeted on Tuesday that Lawrence has undergone successful surgery on the shoulder of his non-throwing arm:
Surgery on Trevor Lawrence's left (non-throwing) shoulder just finished and “went great,” source said. Doctors expect Lawrence -- the presumptive No. 1 overall draft pick -- to be 100% for training camp.

Reports surfaced earlier this month that Lawrence would have the procedure done after he threw for NFL teams this past Friday. Barring any unexpected setbacks, the former Clemson Tigers signal-caller should be ready for the start of training camp sessions later this year.
At this stage of the process, it would be downright shocking if the Jacksonville Jaguars didn't select Lawrence with the first pick of the upcoming draft. Four CBS Sports analysts, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., Walter Football, NFL Media's Daniel Jeremiah and practically every other respected observer continue to link Lawrence with the Jaguars in updated mock drafts.
