Las Vegas Raiders seventh-round pick (No. 231 overall) – Defensive Tackle Nesta Jade Silvera

Q: Did you need to gain some weight to be able to fill in a role at the NFL level? Are you happy with your weight currently?

Silvera: "I mean, I didn't really have to gain any weight, necessarily. So, man, I'm just ready to get to work and ready to be a Raider, and just give the Raiders organization all that I got."

Q: How much interaction did you have with the Raiders and obviously you made the move from Florida to the West Coast to play your last year of college ball. Are you kind of getting used to this area of the country?

Silvera: "Yeah, man. I'm loving the West Coast, loving the desert. I had a top-30 visit with the Raiders earlier this month and just got a good connection with a couple of the staff, worked with Coach [Patrick] Graham at the Senior Bowl. Worked with [Antonio] AP [Pierce] when I went over to ASU. Man, they've got a great D-line coach. I'm just blessed to be a Raider."

Q: You talked about dealing with Patrick Graham at the Senior Bowl. What was that experience like? What was some advice he was able to give? And what do you think is the biggest strength to your game?

Silvera: "Well, I'll start with the last question. The biggest strength to my game is my tenacity, I'm bringing it every play. I'm coming full force every play. And I'm an effort guy, so that's what you're going to see out of me. And Coach Graham, he was able to teach me a lot of things at the Senior Bowl. A lot of things I'll be able to take in, and I'm glad I'd be able to work with him again."

Q: What areas do you think that you really are going to be honing in on to improve your game right now?

Silvera: "I'm trying to hone in on everything. I'm not perfect at anything, I'm not 100 percent great in anything and I'm trying to hone in on every little thing in my game. And that's what I'm really trying to do, just work my butt off in every facet of my game and grind. That's all. There's no specific part, it's every part of my game that I'm ready to work on."

Q: You're going to have a couple of veterans in Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones to mentor you and learn from. How much do you look forward to being able to pair up with those guys to kind of learn the ropes?

Silvera: "Super excited to get with some just great vets, some seasoned veterans and Pro Bowl guys. Some guys who've done it at the highest level, year in and year out. Just really blessed for that opportunity and ready to go grind with those guys and just learn as much as I can from those guys."
