Raiders add executive from AFC West rival

The Las Vegas Raiders have weakened a division rival by adding to its front office.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, the Raiders have hired Brian Stark of the Denver Broncos as their new assistant general manager.

Raiders general manager Spytek is familiar with Stark from their shared time with the Broncos, where the two worked together from 2013-15.

Stark is the second member of the Broncos front office that has come to the Raiders this off-season, as he follows new senior vice president of football operations Mark Thewes.

The move comes as the Raiders continue to tinker with their front office personnel. Earlier this off-season, former assistant general manager Champ Kelly was let go by the team. He has since found a job with the Miami Dolphins, and Stark now replaces him in Las Vegas.

Stark is not the only new move in the Raiders front office, however. Reportedly, the team is also hiring Jonathan Stigall of the New York Jets to serve as assistant director of college scouting, while Raiders scout Ben Chester has been promoted to assistant director of pro scouting.

Spytek and Stark both were with the Broncos when they won Super Bowl 50 in 2015, and the Raiders now hope they can produce similar magic in Las Vegas.
