After trading down with the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, the Las Vegas Raiders have finally made their first draft pick of the day.
With the 58th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Raiders have selected TCU wide receiver Jack Bech.
Bech gained notoriety in draft circles after a breakout season at TCU in 2024. Even more so, he became the story of the Shrine Bowl by winning offensive MVP of the game just days after losing his older brother Tiger in the terrorist attacking in New Orleans. Now, Bech gets the opportunity to cement his legacy in the NFL in a new-look Raiders offense.
Bech is as versatile as it gets, with his six-foot-two frame allowing him to live on the boundary while creating mismatches in the slot.
Despite not having the speed of some of his higher-drafted counterparts, Bech makes up for it by being one of the best contested catch receivers in the game. For a team more likely to air it out due to the addition of quarterback Geno Smith, someone who can bring the ball down is an excellent fit. With several strengths to his credit, Bech is a high-floor pick with a relatively good ceiling to go along with it.
Bech should fit in seamlessly with Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers as the Raiders continue building on the offensive side of the ball.
