Raiders CB Jack Jones reveals why he won't be recruiting free agents
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders have a huge offseason coming up, where they have to make the necessary improvements to make that jump from a non-playoff team to a team that can win the AFC West.

With the Kansas City Chiefs coming off of back-to-back Super Bowls, it won't be easy, which is why free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft are so important. After hiring Antonio Pierce, the Raiders shouldn't have many issues getting new faces in the building. And new faces that are good.

But, one player said he doesn't feel like he has to recruit, and he won't. Jack Jones, a newer Raiders player, loves wearing the Silver and Black and is a Raider through and through. But it's not meant for everyone.

Fans telling me recruit these FA but I feel like that’s going against the guys. I believe In what we got, I don’t think we need to make any changes.

Sure, it's fine to believe in what you have. In fact, I'd rather players feel that way, but we can't be naive to the fact that the Raiders still have a ways to go before they can win a Super Bowl. Sure, they were on the doorstep of a playoff appearance, but making the playoffs and winning the Super Bowl has a big gap between them.

There are several teams on both sides who make the playoffs every year. There is only one team that wins the Super Bowl. The Raiders need to attack free agency hard and get players that make them better. If the current roster was good enough, we would be celebrating them as Super Bowl champions right now.
