Since John Spytek joined the Las Vegas Raiders as the new general manager in January, the front office has seen a massive shift in personnel.
In just the weeks after the draft, the Raiders have hired Brian Stark as assistant general manager to replace Champ Kelly, Johnathon Stigall as assistant director of college scouting and Anthony Patch as senior personnel executive. Even before that, they had already hired Mark Thewes as the new senior vice president of football operations and strategy. Spytek clearly has a vision of how he wants to run the team from a front office perspective, and he has been hard at work surrounding himself with people who can best implement it.
On Thursday, Spytek now has made another move to bring his vision to reality.
According to ESPN’s Ryan McFadden, the Raiders are preparing to name Philadelphia Eagles senior director of scouting Brandon Hunt as their new vice president of player personnel.
#Raiders are hiring Brandon Hunt to be their VP of Player Personnel, per source. He previously served as the senior director of scouting for #Eagles.

Hunt was a part of the Eagles organization over the last three seasons. Prior to that, he spent 11 years as a pro scouting coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers between 2010-21. It is the second time that the Raiders have poached a member of the Eagles front office, with the first being Patch.
Interestingly, this is the first notable front office hire Spytek has made without a connection to him.
Spytek hired Stark and Thewes from the Denver Broncos, while his time with the Eagles overlapped with Stigall and Patch. By the time Hunt joined the Eagles, Spytek had won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Patch is familiar with Hunt, however, and it would not be surprising if he gave Spytek a good recommendation.
There are very few teams with a front office as well-run as the Eagles, and the Raiders are clearly hoping some of that rubs off on them.
