Raiders draft countdown: Adam Treu is best No. 62

Sixty-two days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.

Today, Feb. 20, the number is 62.

Adam Treu, No. 62

Adam Treu is the pick for No. 62 because he gave the Raiders a decade of continuity at center and across the interior. From 1997-2006, he stayed in the lineup in multiple roles and became a trusted veteran presence.

Treu played 155 games for the Raiders. He made 44 starts, and his value was versatility and longevity in the middle of the line.

Why Treu gets No. 62

No. 62 is a short list, and Treu has the clearest Raiders body of work. He outlasted the rest of the group and stayed involved even when he was not starting.

He also did it in a high-stress position group. Interior line depth is never glamorous, but it is always necessary, and Treu provided it for years.

Draft and background

Treu was born June 24, 1974, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He played at Lincoln Pius X High School in Nebraska before starring at Nebraska.

Then the Oakland Raiders drafted him in the third round, 72nd overall, in 1997. He went on to spend his entire 10-year career in Silver and Black.
