Seventy days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.
Today, February 12, the number is 70.
Henry Lawrence is the pick for No. 70 because he was a long-term cornerstone on the Raiders offensive line. He spent his entire career in Silver and Black and played through the franchise’s peak years.
Lawrence played 187 games for the Raiders and started 148. That combination of longevity and starts separates him for this number.
Lawrence paired durability with winning. He was part of three Super Bowl championship teams with the Raiders, which adds weight to his case at No. 70.
He also earned individual recognition. Lawrence made two Pro Bowls while anchoring the line across the late 1970s and 1980s.

Lawrence was born Sept. 26, 1951, in Danville, Pa. He played at Lincoln High School in Florida before starring at Florida A&M.
Then the Oakland Raiders drafted him in the first round, 19th overall, in 1974. He went on to play 13 seasons, all with the Raiders.
Lawrence built a rare Raiders-only career with high-end results. With 187 games, 148 starts and three Super Bowl rings, No. 70 belongs to him.
Next up tomorrow: No. 69.
