Thirty-two days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.
Today, March 22, the number is 32.
Marcus Allen is the pick for No. 32 because he is one of the greatest players in Raiders history and the standard for the number. From 1982-1992, Allen delivered elite production as a runner and receiver, then backed it with MVP hardware and a Super Bowl MVP performance.
Allen piled up 12,803 scrimmage yards and 97 total touchdowns with the Raiders. He remains one of the most complete backs the franchise has ever had, with 8,545 rushing yards and 4,258 receiving yards in Silver and Black.

No. 32 has strong names, but Allen separates with awards, championships, and total production. He won NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year in 1985, then owned the biggest stage as Super Bowl XVIII MVP.
He also hit early and stayed productive. Allen won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 1982, then became the backbone of the offense for a decade.
Allen was born March 26, 1960, in San Diego. He starred at USC before the Raiders drafted him in the first round in 1982.
He later entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame, cementing a legacy that is tied to No. 32 in Las Vegas.
Allen’s Raiders resume is a full case by itself: MVP, Super Bowl MVP, elite production, and long-term impact on the franchise. For No. 32, the best Raider is Marcus Allen.
Next up tomorrow: No. 31.
