Raiders draft countdown: Otis Sistrunk is best No. 60
David Boss-Imagn Images

Sixty days remain until the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, Pa., April 23-25, 2026. After a 3-14 season in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the No. 1 overall pick as this daily countdown continues through the franchise’s best players by jersey number.

Today, Feb. 22, the number is 60.

Otis Sistrunk, No. 60

Otis Sistrunk is the pick for No. 60 because he was a disruptive force on the Raiders defensive front during a championship era. From 1972-1978, he brought power off the edge and inside, then helped close games when it mattered most.

Sistrunk played 98 games for the Raiders and finished with 53.0 sacks. For this number, that production is the separator.

The separator is 53.0 sacks in Silver and Black.

Why Sistrunk gets No. 60

Sistrunk paired impact with winning. He was part of a Super Bowl championship team and earned a Pro Bowl selection, which separates him from the rest of the No. 60 list.

He also has a unique place in Raiders lore. Sistrunk reached the NFL without playing college football, then still became a frontline defender on a title roster.

Draft and background

Sistrunk was born Sept. 18, 1946, in Columbus, Ga. He played at William H. Spencer High School in Georgia and did not play college football.

He reached the Raiders in the early 1970s and turned into a long-term contributor on the defensive line, spending his entire NFL career with the franchise.

Other notable No. 60s

  • Rory Graves, 1988-1991
  • Curt Marsh, 1981-1986
  • Tom Louderback, 1960-1961

Career check

Sistrunks Raiders resume is rare: 53.0 sacks, a Pro Bowl season and a Super Bowl ring, all without a college football background. For No. 60, the number belongs to him.

Next up tomorrow: No. 59.
