Raiders' DT Byron Young Knows What it Takes to Win
USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders are known for their rich history of winning in the NFL, but over the last couple of decades, that's all it has been: history.

One of the major advantages of the NFL Draft is the opportunity to bring in prospects who experienced championship success in college, with hopes of that winning mentality transitioning over to the pros.

The Raiders certainly got their fair share of winners in this year's draft class with names like Christopher Smith II and Byron Young.

Young joins the list of talented Alabama prospects that the Raiders have drafted over the years, and he is well aware of what a winning program looks like.

"My parents always raised me to be a winner," Young told the media after he was drafted. "And then when I got to Alabama, that's something that we always harped on too. And so, I haven't lost many games in my career, and I would love it if I can go in and just really help improve the culture and continue to go in there and impact everybody in a positive way. ... I think they will be getting a great player, but also a current player who can transition into becoming a leader because they already have a line of great guys on the team like Chandler Jones, Maxx Crosby, they drafted Tyree [Wilson] earlier. So it's going to be a deep group of guys up there, man. But I just want to come in and I want to impact it right away and I just want to give them everything I can."
