Super Bowl LVIII is just a week away, and the city of Las Vegas has been working hard to make it a safe and memorable one.

The Las Vegas Raiders decided to show local first responders just how much they appreciate their preparation for the big game by paying visits and giving gifts.

Raiders linebacker Darien Butler and wide receiver DJ Turner visited Clark County Fire Department Station 11 on Wednesday. Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan, defensive tackle Matthew Butler, linebacker Divine Deablo, some Raiderettes, and Raider Rusher visited the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Headquarters.

Team staff offered Raiders-themed giveaways and food from Pinkbox Doughnuts, Frito-Lay, and Melissa's Produce to the first responders.

At the LVMPD HQ, Douglass Morgan gifted Renee Sorenson, executive director of Behind the blue, with two tickets to Super Bowl LVIII. The tickets were donated by the Super Bowl Host Committee and the NFL.

Per its website, Behind the Blue's "mission is to provide relief to [its] Southern Nevada Law Enforcement personnel who are struggling with unforeseen catastrophic guidelines."

This year's Super Bowl will be the first time ever that Las Vegas has hosted the event. The game will be played at the Raiders' home stadium, Allegiant Stadium, which opened in 2020.

Since the opening of Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas has hosted the NFL Pro Bowl (2022 and 2023) and the NFL Draft (2022).

Super Bowl LVIII will be played next Sunday, Feb. 11, starting at 6:30 p.m. EST, 3:30 p.m. PST.

Super Bowl Opening Night begins Monday, which will kick off a number of events leading up the biggest night in football.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
