The Las Vegas Raiders finally have every member of their 2025 draft class under contract.
According to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed, the Raiders have signed second-round wide receiver Jack Bech to his four-year rookie contract.
The deal comes shortly after the rookies reported to Raiders training camp on Thursday, with the rest of the team set to report on July 22.
Raiders fans can now breathe a sigh of relief, as Bech’s holdout on signing his first contract has come to an end. In fairness, however, the decision to wait on his signing until now is not particularly his fault.
With the top three picks of the second round all signing fully guaranteed contracts (Cleveland Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger, Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins, Seattle Seahawks safety Nick Emmanwori), many rookies wanted to get in on the action themselves. While Bech has been confirmed to have not gotten a fully guaranteed deal, he was still caught in the stalemate to see whether the players or teams would blink first. By signing, Bech will not be too far behind his fellow rookies, and he now enters training camp looking to lock down what is likely one of two open starting receiver spots next to Jakobi Meyers.
Bech and the Raiders certainly were not expecting to start with some drama, but both sides can now look past that and start preparing for the season ahead.
