On the NFL Network on Thursday, Raiders wide receiver and free spirit Mack Hollins guaranteed that he'd play better barefooted.

Besides wanting to play shoeless, Hollins revealed other quirks.
"Now I just eat meat at night, I don't eat vegetables no more," Hollins said. "The only time I eat vegetables is Sunday, because I wanna be starving."
Whatever you think of Hollins' methods, the results can't be denied. He's having his best season.
Through five games, Hollins has averaged 16.1 yards per catch, which leads the Raiders. His 60-yard catch against the Titans is the longest reception by a Raider this season.

The great start is satisfying for the fifth-year wide receiver. He battled injuries in Philadelphia and never had a huge role with the Dolphins. The Raiders signed him with little fanfare in March.
While defenses focus on WRs Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow, Hollins uses his speed to get open.
Another reason Hollins has succeeded in Las Vegas is head coach Josh McDaniels. He has a knack for turning unheralded wideouts into assets. As offensive coordinator for the Patriots, he had Wes Welker, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman.
Hollins' production proves he's a good fit. And if the shoe fits ... ah, never mind.
