The Las Vegas Raiders' 2022 season is going from bad to worse.
Raiders are placing TE Darren Waller on injured reserve, per source. Waller aggravated his hamstring injury and the team believes this will give him four weeks to get it healthy and come back to finish the season.

Waller hasn't played since the team's Week 5 "Monday Night Football" loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was limited to just eight snaps. The 2020 Pro Bowl tight end had been practicing in a limited capacity recently, suggesting he may be able to return for the Raiders' Week 10 contest against the Indianapolis Colts.
In five games this season, Waller has recorded 16 receptions for 175 yards and one touchdown on 24 targets. He missed six games last season due to injury as well.
Las Vegas had a massive offseason -- highlighted by the trade for All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams -- and were expected to have one of the best offenses in the NFL with Adams joining the likes of Waller, wideout Hunter Renfrow and running back Josh Jacobs. While Adams and Jacobs have put together productive campaigns thus far, both Renfrow's and Waller's campaigns have been severely hampered by injuries.
The Raiders are in last place in the AFC West at 2-6 and were shut out in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints.
