The 2026 Las Vegas Raiders will be a much different team.
They will most likely hire Klint Kubiak as head coach to fix their offense and build it around projected No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza, but they might also be without their best player.
In an interview with Yahoo Sports, NFL insider Jay Glazer poured gas on Raider Nation by stating that Maxx Crosby was "done" with the organization.
"I do," Glazer said before adding that it would take "probably more than Micah [Parsons] to get a deal done."
If that's truly the case, the Detroit Lions would be at the top of Crosby's preferred destination list, according to Sports Illustrated's John Maakaron.
"According to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation, if the decision is made by the Raiders' front office to trade the 28-year-old, the Detroit Lions are Crosby's clear first choice," Maakaron wrote.
This isn't much of a surprise. Last offseason, Crosby — a Michigan native — gushed about the Lions and what head coach Dan Campbell has done with the organization during an appearance on NFL Network's "Good Morning Football."
The Lions already have a superstar pass-rusher in Aidan Hutchinson, and pairing him with Crosby would propel them back to Super Bowl conversations, even in the stacked NFC North. And even though it may take more than a couple of first-round picks to get him, the Lions' Super Bowl window is wide open, and that's a risk they will have to take if he's, in fact, up for grabs.
