Raiders’ Maxx Crosby Once Again Rips Into Team After Week 7
Jamie Sabau-USA TODAY Sports

Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby was not exactly thrilled with his team following its Week 7 loss to the Chicago Bears.

After the game, Crosby said he was embarrassed by the Raiders’ performance.

“It was just (expletive) football,” Crosby said, via Justin Churchill of A to Z Sports. “We didn’t play good enough in any phase. … It’s about doing your job to the best level you possibly can on a play-to-play basis, and that’s the focus every single day. Not only for myself but for our D-Line, our defense, our offense in general; we have to play better complementary football. It just wasn’t good enough; it was literally an embarrassment.”

The Raiders didn’t just lose to the Bears, but they lost by a score of 30-12, and that came against a team that had previously been 1-5.

It also marked a stark change from the past couple of weeks, as Las Vegas had actually strung together two straight wins heading into its matchup with Chicago. On top of that, the Raiders had only allowed 30 points over the preceding 10 quarters prior to taking on the Bears.

But on Sunday, Las Vegas allowed at least seven points in each frame and also let Chicago go 8-for-13 on third downs.

Crosby did his best, logging five tackles and the Raiders’ only sack of the game, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Las Vegas dropped to 3-4 on the year.

For the season overall, Crosby has totaled 40 tackles and 6.5 and seems to be well on his way to a third straight Pro Bowl appearance..

The Raiders will look to get back on track when they take on the Detroit Lions next Monday.
