This season has not gone the way anyone within the Las Vegas Raiders organization would have liked so far. The team sits at 2-5 as they have entered their bye week, and with the NFL Trade Deadline approaching in a couple of weeks, the annual speculation about the team possibly trading star defensive end Maxx Crosby has picked up once again.
The rumors do make sense, as Crosby has proven himself to be one of the best defensive players on the planet, so there is obviously a lot of interest in him should the Raiders want to move on. He has also been open about his desire to win at the highest level, but has played in just one playoff game in his more than six seasons with the franchise.
But Crosby has also spoken very openly about his desire to remain with the Raiders for the entirety of his career and wants to win with this team. And the two sides are on the same page when it comes to that, as the Raiders have reportedly made it clear to Crosby that they are not shopping him ahead of the trade deadline, via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network:
Nobody wants to win more than Maxx Crosby, and he wants to do it with the #Raiders. Despite various rumors with the trade deadline 2 weeks away, the face of the franchise isn’t leaving Las Vegas. https://t.co/k3zAQ4GP8V

Any time a player of Crosby’s caliber is playing for a team with a losing record, there will always be rumors about him possibly being traded to a contender. That is especially the case when that player has been with a team for years and clearly wants to win more than anything else.
But Crosby is extremely loyal to the Raiders and loves this franchise. He wants that team success to come in Las Vegas and will do everything in his power to make that happen, so for now, any rumors about him going elsewhere can die out for the time being.
There was a bit of concern regarding Maxx Crosby as the star defensive end suffered a knee injury in the Raiders’ Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and was held out for the rest of the contest. The Raiders losing Crosby for any period of time would be devastating, but from the sounds of things, the Raiders were simply being cautious, and Crosby should be just fine after the bye week.
