The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the most immediately recognizable teams in the NFL.
Since their founding in 1960, the Raiders have gone on to become one of the most storied franchises in the league. While the team has struggled in recent years, it has not changed their status as one of the faces of the NFL. With sales continuing to hit all-time highs, franchise values are only going to soar.
That has continued to prove true in the latest analysis of team valuations.
In their annual list of the most valuable NFL franchises, Sportico has the Raiders clocking in as the ninth-most expensive team with a $7.9 billion valuation.
The Dallas Cowboys top the list at a $12.8 valuation, and the other teams more expensive than the Raiders are the Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.
As far as the AFC West is concerned, the Raiders come out on top. The Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs come in 15th and 16th with $6.55 billion and $6.53 billion valuations, respectively. Bringing up the rear in the division is the Los Angeles Chargers, coming in 21st with a still-respectable $6.21 billion valuation.
It is unsurprising to see team valuations continue to rise as the NFL rakes in serious profits year after year, and the Raiders have a chance to go even higher if they can finally return to their winning ways in 2025.
