Raiders star won't be punished for controversial incident during 2022 season
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

The Las Vegas Raiders and their best player, Davante Adams, had an incident in the 2022 season that made the headlines around the league. You may remember, against the Kansas City Chiefs in Kansas City, Adams pushed someone in the tunnel.

The incident happened, and it's over. He has since apologized, but there was a chance that the victim would sue Adams. Since then, it has become clear that Adams will not be punished or miss any games in 2024 because of this.

The NFL informed Raiders WR Davante Adams he wouldn't be disciplined for shoving a photographer following a 2022 game in Kansas City, per sources. Prosecutors dismissed a misdemeanor assault charge against Adams last summer, but the league probe remained open. Now, it's closed.

"Sorry to the guy I pushed over after the game. Obviously, I was very frustrated at the way the game ended, and when he ran in front of me as I exited, that was my reaction, and I felt horrible immediately. That's not me..MY APOLOGIES, man. I hope you see this," Adams said.

Now Raiders fans won't have to worry about Adams missing any games in 2024, and they can focus on the best receiver in the league getting integrated into this new system.
