Raiders Under Contract: T Dalton Wagner

As far as undrafted free agents go, the Las Vegas Raiders seemingly got a steal when they signed offensive tackle Dalton Wagner last offseason.

The Raiders signed Wagner to a three-year, $2,720,000 deal, the largest contract of any of their 2023 undrafted free agents.

Unfortunately for Wagner and Las Vegas, after having a solid first preseason, the rookie would be placed on IR in late August after suffering an undisclosed injury.

Wagner played five active seasons at the University of Arkansas after redshirting his freshman season. He would play in 11 of the Razorbacks' 12 games in 2018, making one start.

The next season, Wagner started all 12 games for Arkansas at right tackle. In 2020, his redshirt junior season, he made five starts in eight appearances. The next year, he started in 10 games.

Wagner then had his best season in 2022, his final at Arkansas. He made 12 starts and finished the year with a career-best 80.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus. Wagner would be named to PFF's All-SEC First Team.

Wagner was also named to the 2022 Associated Press All-SEC Second Team.

The 25-year-old offensive tackle's availability would have been beneficial when the Raiders were dealing with Kolton Miller's injury this season, as well as the two games that Thayer Munford Jr. had to miss.

With offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor being a free agent this offseason and Miller having faced the first serious injury of his career that had him miss four games this year, a healthy Wagner could be very valuable to Las Vegas by the time training camp rolls around.

But "healthy" is the key word.

From February 27 to March 4, 2024, the NFL Scouting Combine will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind.

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
