The Los Angeles Rams have one of the best rosters heading into next season. Their top five players make them a title favorite and give them the best chance to win a Super Bowl next season. Here are the Rams’ top five players heading into next season:

5) Kyren Williams

Kyren Williams is a talented running back who has reached over 1,000 rushing yards three out of four years in the league. Last season, he had over 1,200 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Pro Football Focus (PFF) gave him an 87 rushing grade ranking him seventh among running backs. Williams’ game is built on reliability and consistency. He has the ability to read blocks and anticipate running lanes. His ability to display explosiveness in tight spaces allows him to gain difficult yards when the Rams need only a few yards for a first down. He is a very valuable running back and crucial to the team’s success.

4) Jared Verse

Jared Verse is an elite pass rusher who finished his second season with 7.5 sacks and 35 tackles. The defensive rookie of the year in 2024 is one of the most impactful pass rushers in the league. PFF graded him an 83.9 last season with an 82.2 pass rush grade, ranking him 11th among edge defenders. He also generated 80 total pressures last season ranking sixth among defenders. Although Verse has low sack numbers, he is proficient in pressuring quarterbacks to make quick decisions under duress.

3) Trent McDuffie

Trent McDuffie is the Rams’ newest addition via trade. After being traded, he signed a four-year, $124 million extension with $100 million guaranteed, the highest for a cornerback in league history. He has been one of the best cornerbacks since he entered the league in 2022 as the 21st pick. PFF ranked McDuffie 11th among qualifying corners last season which was a down season for him. A breakout star in 2023 with an 84.8 PFF grade, he was a top five corner for the Kansas City Chiefs and can continue his dominance for the Rams. McDuffie recorded minimal stats with only one interception and 45 tackles last season, but he is a shutdown corner who can guard anyone.

“His strengths are short-are quickness and small, shifty guys…” Jaylen Watson said on McDuffie.

2) Matthew Stafford

Matthew Stafford is coming off his best season of his career winning the MVP at 37 years old. Finishing the season with 4707 passing yards and 46 touchdowns, he was the best quarterback in the league. The team also just missed reaching the Super Bowl, losing in the NFC Championship game. Stafford is undoubtedly a top five quarterback going into next season and he will look to continue his premier play.

1) Puka Nacua

Puka Nacua is one of the best pass catchers in the league. Recording 129 receptions and 1715 receiving yards, Nacua was instrumental in the Rams’ season. He was the premier pass catcher for Los Angeles with the next highest being Davante Adams with 789 yards. Nacua was one of Stafford’s few options in the open field and the most reliable target available. Nacua is the Rams best player because of his ability to change any game at any time. He can receive the ball in any form whether deep, medium or short passes. Nacua is also a do-it-all receiver who can catch contested balls and turn any difficult catch into an easy gain. The combination of Nacua’s talent and Stafford’s arm strength and accuracy make them the deadliest tandem in the league.
