The Los Angeles Rams are guaranteed more years with Matthew Stafford behind center. But a new quarterback curveball rose on Wednesday ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Rams will host fast-rising QB prospect Jalen Milroe of Alabama soon, with Fox NFL insider Jordan Schultz reporting the future visit

"Milroe’s name has been gaining steam in recent weeks," Schultz said on X.

The Crimson Tide star quarterback is garnering significant day two and even day one of the draft attention. He showed he can be a "do-everything" QB while in Tuscaloosa . Milroe is also predicted to now land at No. 68 to the Las Vegas Raiders by Chad Reuter of the NFL Network

But this gives the Rams a new curveball if Sean McVay, Les Snead and the organization take a liking to Milroe. Los Angeles is presented a potential QB of the future as Stafford ages. The Super Bowl winning QB turned 37 in February. Snead and the Rams helped restructure his deal to stay on board with the franchise.

But Milroe doesn't just come in as a possible heir in this scenario. The 'Bama star potentially pushes out 2023 draft pick and past national champion Stetson Bennett. The Rams took the Georgia star just two drafts ago. Bennett, though, only participated in the 2024 season as he got placed on the non-football injury list during his rookie year.

Adding Milroe also changes the complexion of the Rams offense. McVay gains a rare dual-threat option if the team ends up drafting him. The Super Bowl winning head coach has always coached pocket passers in L.A. during the regular season.

Milroe, though, brings a high ceiling and other intriguing elements. While he played for Kalen DeBoer in his final college season, Milroe is one of the last Nick Saban recruits at Alabama. Past Saban QBs have thrived in the league -- a la Tua Tagovailoa and Super Bowl LIX winner Jalen Hurts. Milroe is now rising as a trending Rams possibility ahead of draft weekend starting April 24.
