The Los Angeles Rams are shaping up to be one of the more interesting teams to watch out for in free agency and the draft.

The Rams have more money and draft picks than they’ve had in years and are well-equipped to be aggressive looking for talent upgrades. Los Angeles has a few needs across the roster like edge rusher, cornerback and tight end, but knowing ownership and the front office they’ll do whatever they need to to chase a Super Bowl.

General manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay are often credited for the franchise’s turnaround, but Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff also deserves praise for his role. Demoff was one of the individuals spearheading the organization’s move back to Los Angeles and building SoFi Stadium, but he also had a say in how all-in the team could be on chasing championships.

Demoff’s job with the Rams was good enough for team owner Stan Kroenke to promote him to president of team and media operations for Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, via Adam Schefter of ESPN:

With this new role, Demoff will be overseeing the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), Colorado Rapids (MLS) and Colorado Mammoth (NLL) in addition to the Rams.

Demoff released a statement expressing his excitement with the role and what he’s looking forward to, via Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic:

“I am honored and humbled to take on this role with KSE and I am grateful to Stan and Josh for this opportunity,” said Demoff in a statement released Thursday. “I am excited to work with so many talented teammates who have helped KSE become the most influential sports and entertainment company in the world. With the goal of sustaining winning cultures and organizations that transcend the field, court, or ice, we will collaboratively build a best-in-class experience for our fans in Denver, Los Angeles, and around the globe.”

This type of move could potentially benefit all the teams involved and it’ll be interesting to see how things shape up for Demoff in his new role.

Kevin Demoff excited for Rams to return offseason aggression

Fans should be eagerly looking forward to the next few months as the Rams will be major players in free agency and the 2024 NFL Draft. L.A. has plenty of resources to improve the roster and Demoff acknowledged he’s excited to see the team go back to being aggressive.
