One of the biggest decisions made by the Los Angeles Rams this offseason was replacing veteran wide receiver Cooper Kupp with Davante Adams.
During Tuesday's edition of NFL Network's "The Insiders" program, Rams receiver Puka Nacua raved about being able to learn from Adams heading into the 2025 season.
"Davante, as soon as he stepped into the facility, has been fantastic," Nacua said, NFL.com's Bobby Kownack shared. "The ability to learn from another all-time great has been — I feel like I'm stealing — I'm like a kid in the candy store. I've had (quarterback) Matthew Stafford, (head coach) Sean McVay, Cooper Kupp and now Davante Adams. My life is pretty good. I can't complain too much. It's gonna be fun."
The Rams grabbed Nacua in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, while Kupp played only for the organization from the start of his NFL career in 2017 through the 2024 season. Kupp is a Rams icon who earned Super Bowl LVI Most Valuable Player honors in February 2022, but injuries limited him to just 33 regular-season games over the last three campaigns.
As for Adams, he is a three-time first-team All-Pro selection who, most recently, recorded 67 receptions for 854 yards and seven touchdowns across 11 games with the New York Jets after being traded from the Las Vegas Raiders this past October. He signed a two-year contract worth up to $44M to join the Rams in March.
Meanwhile, Kupp received a three-year, $45M deal from the Seattle Seahawks.
"Route running," Nacua said about what he hopes to learn from Adams this summer. "His ability to change pace while he's moving on the football field, the ability to win against negative leverage, his suddenness at the line of scrimmage, it's fantastic to see. And to be able to see it in person and be lining up right next to him, it makes sure you have all the gas turned on when you're going out there with No. 17."
It was previously learned that league executives, coaches and scouts surveyed by ESPN ranked Stafford as the league's sixth-best quarterback for 2025. As of Wednesday morning, DraftKings Sportsbook had the Rams sixth among the betting favorites at +1100 odds to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LX.
"I just want to see Matthew Stafford spin it," Nacua added during the show segment, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "You wouldn’t believe how different the ball looks coming out of Matthew Stafford’s hand."
