Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams was a part of two losing teams last season, but this year looks more promising so far.
The Rams are 2-1 after losing 33-26 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and that loss was unlucky. Los Angeles kicker Joshua Karty attempted a 44-yard field goal as time expired that would've won the game if he made it, but the Eagles blocked it and returned it for a touchdown.
Adams and fellow wideout Puka Nacua have been an effective duo so far, as Adams has 13 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns, while Nacua leads the NFL with 29 catches and is second with 333 yards. Both players will finish with over 1,000 yards at their current pace, which would help Los Angeles make its third straight playoff appearance.
However, Adams has hamstring soreness and is listed as "questionable" ahead of the Rams' Week 4 tilt with the Indianapolis Colts, via ESPN's Adam Schefter. Head coach Sean McVay commented on whether that will affect the veteran wideout's snap count, via Schefter.
“I don't know about that. You might monitor some things, but if I told him that, I think he would say, ‘Nah, I’m not doing that.’ He’s in good spirits," he said. "He's been engaged in the walkthroughs. He's doing everything that he can to be physically and mentally ready to go and that's why he's a total stud."
"I’m excited about that. We’ll see how the game goes," McVay continued. "Ultimately, we have be able to do what we think is best for Davante and for our team. Those things go hand in hand for us. If that changes any of the snap count, that's not something that we're expecting but we'll see.”

Adams had a combined 85 catches for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns for the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets last season, but he missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season. The 32-year-old hasn't made the postseason since 2021, his last year with the Green Bay Packers.
The Raiders acquired Adams from the Packers in March 2022 and proceeded to have two losing seasons. The 2014 second-round pick reunited with former Fresno State teammate Derek Carr in Las Vegas, but it didn't result in team success.
Las Vegas then traded Adams to New York midseason last year, where he reunited with former Green Bay teammate Aaron Rodgers. The club ended the campaign with a 5-12 record before releasing both players. Adams signed with the Rams, and Rodgers signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There's still time for things to go wrong, but Adams is now a part of a perennial playoff contender for the first time since his Packers days.
