The Los Angeles Rams got a huge performance from one of their veteran players. The Rams' star wide receiver Davante Adams had a huge game in Week 2, and it led the Rams to a massive road victory.
It was one of those vintage Davante Adams showings like we are used to seeing. It was great to see him have a game like this, as he reminded a lot of people that he could still play at a high level in this league and that he is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.
Adams had himself a day with going over 100 yards for the first time this season on only six receptions, and he caught a touchdown. That is something the Rams wanted to see from the veteran, and they got it in Week 2.
His longest reception went for 33 yards. It was a great sight to see. Adams was playing like a madman the whole game, and his connection with veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford was unstoppable in Week 2.
Coming into the season, a lot of people were surprised that the Rams went after Adams and signed him as a free agent. That was a massive move by the Rams and one they wanted to make to improve the team and the offense overall. For Adams, the last few seasons have not been easy for him. But he continued to stay consistent. A lot of people thought that Adams' great days in the league were behind him, but now with the Rams, he has shown they are far from over.
"Yes, man, this is part of it," said Rams wide receiver Davante Adams on his big performance in Week 2. "I think we obviously do not want to get satisfied. Like, I think there are some plays out there still to be made. And you can always grow and get better. This is a good start. Week 2 to be rolling like this. Playing good team football, togetherness. Celebrating each other's success. It is just the way you dial it up for sure.
"It is much better when you get a win with it. I have had a few different ones over the last few years it is harder to feel good about it. It is a little bit easier to celebrate it."
