Los Angeles Rams (5-6) receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested early Monday morning by California Highway Patrol on suspicion of DUI, per Clayton Holloway of NFL Media.
At approximately 5:13 a.m., officers observed a white Dodge sedan traveling over 100 mph. The driver, who identified himself as Robinson, showed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment, per officers. According to TMZ, Robinson refused to perform a field sobriety test on site. Robinson was cited and later released to a responsible party.
Robinson’s arrest came just hours after the Rams’ 37-20 Week 12 home defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 30-year-old hauled in two receptions for 15 yards and a score.
The Rams have yet to comment on Robinson’s arrest.
A 2016 fourth round pick of the Kansas City Chiefs, Robinson is in his ninth season in the NFL and second with the Rams. Robinson has started all 11 games for the Rams this season, recording 26 receptions for 384 yards and a team-leading six touchdowns.
“I think it’s just opportunity,” Robinson said Monday of his increased production this season. “Coach giving me opportunity from seeing what I was capable of doing last year.”
