Ranking Every Minnesota Vikings Player: Controversial NFL Draft pick highlights Nos. 25-21

The Minnesota Vikings have some real superstars on the roster, but it's the starters and major role players who are going to be the biggest factors in making a potential Super Bowl.

The focus is going to be on J.J. McCarthy, but the supporting cast is going to be the ones who are the real focus should be. The latest group of players in our rankings of every Vikings player highlights those really important players.

25. WR Jalen Nailor

The Vikings selected Nailor in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and he's become one of just three players from that 10 man draft class to still be on the roster. The hope was he would develop into a WR3 for the Vikings and he's done just that.

Last season, Nailor set career highs across the board with 28 receptions, 414 yards, and six touchdowns. With Jordan Addison likely to be suspended for multiple games, the Vikings will need Nailor to take a step forward to help steady the offense.

24. CB Isaiah Rodgers

Rodgers is someone that I'm really high on going into the season, and the Vikings seem to be as well. He hasn't been a starter during the course of his career, but played well during his limited opportunities in his first four seasons. One reason why his career hasn't taken off yet is the one-year gambling suspension he served in 2023. He doesn't have size in either height or bulk, but the quickness, patience, and instincts are all really interesting elements for Brian Flores at cornerback.

23. EDGE Dallas Turner

The Vikings' first-round pick being down this low might feel like a big deal, especially with how much criticism he received for playing just 310 snaps last season. Some of that was due to Turner being behind Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel while the other major factor was his frame not being ready to handle playing on the interior.

Turner made some real strides throughout the course of the season and Flores has already said he sees him as a third starter on the edge. With his ability to drop and play as a traditional pass rusher, it's going to make him more useful for Flores.

22. ILB Ivan Pace Jr.

The linebacker position is one where the Vikings haven't been consistent for a few years, but the emergence of Pace paired with Blake Cashman has been a renaissance. His unique size and quickness allows Pace to penetrate the backfield consistently, as he can get underneath the arms of the offensive lineman to create havoc in the backfield. There is still something lacking with his coverage ability, but the Vikings don't ask him to do much of it.

21. RB Jordan Mason

The running game has been a major factor this offseason in terms of trying to improve the team. The offensive line was a major factor in improving that area, but adding a second running back to pair with Aaron Jones was a major aspect in improving the running game.

Mason got a chance to show what he can do to the Vikings in week two, when he ran for 100 yards and a touchdown in week two of the 2024 seasons. His yards per carry average last season and over his career are both above 5.0 YPC, and he thrives in both zone concepts and short yardage.
