In his first game back, Rice scored two touchdowns and brought back the speed, balance and edge Kansas City had been missing. The Chiefs buried the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0, piling up 434 yards and setting the tone from the first snap.
Rice caught seven passes for 42 yards, but his influence went well beyond the box score. His routes stretched the Raiders’ defense, creating space for Travis Kelce and the running backs to work underneath. With Rice on the field, Patrick Mahomes looked sharper and more decisive, spreading the ball to every level of the field.
Kansas City opened the game with a 92-yard touchdown drive, followed by an 84-yard march that chewed up nearly ten minutes of clock. Another 94-yard drive in the third quarter sealed it. Each series showed the kind of precision and tempo that had been missing earlier this season. Rice helped drive all three, winning routes in traffic and turning tight plays into first downs.
His second touchdown — a back-shoulder grab with a defender draped over him — captured exactly what the Chiefs had been missing: toughness and timing.

Mahomes finished with 286 yards and three touchdowns before exiting in the third quarter. The Chiefs dominated possession, outgaining Las Vegas 434-95 and converting 30 first downs to the Raiders’ three. The offensive line protected cleanly, and the return of Rice forced the defense to respect every inch of the field.
The difference was instant. With Rice stretching coverage, Mahomes attacked faster and with confidence. The offense ran with rhythm again — fast, aggressive and controlled.
Kansas City entered Week 7 at 3-3, searching for consistency. It found it in Rice. His return restored balance to an offense that had leaned too heavily on checkdowns and short throws. With him back, the Chiefs rediscovered their vertical threat and their swagger.
Las Vegas never adjusted. The Raiders’ secondary couldn’t keep up with Kansas City’s tempo, and breakdowns piled up as Rice kept finding seams across the middle. By halftime, the game was already over.
For Kansas City, this was more than a win — it was a reminder of what its offense can be when complete. Rice adds speed, strength and reliability that shift how defenses line up and how Mahomes attacks.
One game won’t define the season, but it might reset the Chiefs’ direction. With Rice back, the offense looks whole again — fast, confident and dangerous.
Rashee Rice didn’t ease back into the lineup. He charged in, scored twice and reignited a Kansas City attack that suddenly looks ready to run through the rest of the AFC.
