Ravens Announce Exciting Stadium Update Before Browns Game

The 2025 NFL season is officially in full swing, and the Baltimore Ravens are chasing their first Super Bowl appearance since the 2012 season.

However, after losing a heartbreaker to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, the Ravens are also searching for their first win, and going up against the Cleveland Browns provides them a prime opportunity.

This is also a special season for the Ravens, as it marks their 30th season as a franchise, with their inaugural season dating back to 1996 after the Browns left Cleveland for Baltimore. Cleveland kept the Browns' colors, logos, history and records, and that franchise rejoined the NFL in 1999.

The Ravens are honoring their exciting milestone against the Browns, announcing they will be using throwback end zones for the home-opener at M&T Bank Stadium.

It creates an opportunity for fans and players alike to reminisce on the team's short yet impactful history as the NFL's second-youngest franchise behind the Houston Texans (2002).

Despite not being around for as long as other franchises, the Ravens already have a rich history, appearing in two Super Bowls and winning both.

ESPN's Jamison Hensley noted that the updated end zone paint is supposed to mimic what the Ravens used in their first home game at Memorial Stadium back in 1996.

There's no doubt Baltimore would also love to see similar results from that matchup, as they took down the then-Oakland Raiders 19-14. That set the tone early for a franchise that's gained a reputation for its extreme toughness and grit.

The Ravens currently sit as 11.5-point favorites, according to ESPN BET. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET, and the game will air on CBS.

Last season, the Ravens drew 568,423 fans in their home games at M&T Bank Stadium. They will undoubtedly be getting ready for another packed game against their AFC North rivals.
