Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was forced to exit Sunday’s 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots. The former NFL MVP left the contest late in the first half after taking a knee to the back. He looked like he was in significant pain as he exited to the locker room, and the team announced in the third quarter that Jackson was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Jackson finished the loss with 7-of-10 completed passes for 101 yards to go along with 7 rushing yards on two carries. Backup QB Tyler Huntley stepped in to replace Jackson after the injury, and it’s possible that Huntley will get the start in Baltimore’s next game if Jackson is unable to go.
The Ravens are back in action on Saturday in a road game against the Green Bay Packers. That will be a do-or-die game for the 7-8 Ravens as their playoff hopes continue to hang in the balance. A loss on Saturday will spell the end of their chase for a postseason berth.
The Ravens held their first practice session of the week on Tuesday, which was a walk-through. The team provided an estimated injury report for Tuesday’s practice, which included Jackson.
The Ravens announced that Jackson was a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice estimation.

Jackson was visibly upset when he spoke to reporters after the Patriots loss. However, he stated that his “goal” was to play on Saturday against Green Bay. The fact that he was estimated as a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice does not necessarily bode well for his chances of suiting up for that game.
The Ravens will practice again on Wednesday and Thursday, and Jackson’s status for both of those sessions will have a significant impact on his availability against the Packers.
Baltimore will be on the road on Saturday, with kickoff from Lambeau Field scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET.
