Ravens Announce Zay Flowers Development Amid Lamar Jackson Problem

The Baltimore Ravens have won just once in five games so far, even getting blown out by the Houston Texans 44-10 in their Week 5 showdown. The team has continued to struggle, and to make matters worse, starting quarterback Lamar Jackson remains out due to injury.

Jackson suffered a hamstring injury in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, forcing him to miss their lopsided loss to the Texans. Now, he has been ruled out for Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams with the same issue.

Unfortunately for the Ravens, Jackson's injury is not the only health issue they have to deal with. Wide receiver Zay Flowers, who leads the team in receptions (28) and receiving yards (377), is also in danger of missing their upcoming game.

Flowers has been limited in practice all week due to a shoulder injury. As a result, the team has listed him as questionable for Week 6.

The Ravens did get some good news on the injury front, with Kyle Hamilton (groin), Marlon Humphrey (calf), Roger Rosengarten (knee) and Ronnie Stanley (ankle) all taken off the injury report.

Hamilton, Rosengarten and Stanley were all limited during Wednesday's practice but were full participants over the last two days. Humphrey, meanwhile, did not practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday before fully participating on Friday.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Flowers, but if he ends up sitting out the Rams showdown, backup quarterback Cooper Rush will certainly have a tougher time operating the Baltimore offense.
