Ravens’ Derrick Henry Makes Painful Admission After Browns Loss

A fourth-quarter fumble by Derrick Henry proved costly as the Baltimore Ravens fell 13-10 to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday at Huntington Bank Field.

The Ravens jumped out to a 10-0 lead after the first quarter, but managed no further scoring the rest of the way. Cleveland capitalized on Baltimore’s late mistakes to complete the comeback.

Henry lost the ball in Ravens territory while Baltimore held a 10-3 advantage. The Browns recovered and drove for a touchdown that tied the game with 8:33 remaining.

Audric Estime scored from two yards out to knot the score at 10-10. Cleveland then drove 62 yards in the closing minutes for the winning points.

Andre Szmyt kicked a 37-yard field goal as time expired. The Browns improved to 4-2 while the Ravens dropped to the same record and lost sole possession of first place in the AFC North.

Henry finished with 58 yards on 17 carries and one reception for two yards. He gained 31 yards on the opening touchdown drive but only 27 yards on his final 13 carries.

The veteran back entered the game averaging more than 89 rushing yards per contest through five previous outings this season. His 534 yards on 130 carries marked one of the stronger early-season marks among NFL running backs before Sunday’s setback.

This was Henry’s first fumble of the 2026 season. He had struggled with ball security early in 2025, losing the ball in each of his first three games that year before settling in.

Tyler Huntley said that Derrick Henry apologized to team after the game for his fumble. Huntley started at quarterback in place of the injured Lamar Jackson and completed 19 of 31 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown.

Jesse Minter said Derrick Henry addressed the fumble in the locker room. The defensive coordinator’s unit limited Cleveland to 237 total yards and recorded five sacks, but the offense could not sustain drives after the opening quarter.

“What a disappointing performance from Derrick Henry today,” one Ravens supporter posted on social media shortly after the final whistle. Fans expressed frustration as the offense stalled completely following its early success.

“The Ravens led Cleveland 10-0 after the first quarter and didn’t score another point the rest of the game. Derrick Henry rushed for 31 yards on Baltimore’s opening touchdown drive. He managed just 27 yards on his final 13 carries. A complete collapse after the first quarter,” a Ravens-focused account summarized.

Baltimore’s defense held Cleveland scoreless through the first half before Szmyt connected from 48 yards in the third quarter. The Ravens advanced past midfield only once in the final two periods.

Henry’s turnover, combined with a missed field goal earlier in the fourth quarter, handed Cleveland the momentum it needed. The Browns converted the short field into Estime’s tying score after a pass interference penalty extended the drive.

The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Baltimore. The Ravens face a quick turnaround with a home division game against the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday.

Cleveland now holds the head-to-head advantage in the AFC North. Both teams sit at 4-2 heading into Week 7, with the Browns enjoying the early edge after Sunday’s result.
