Ravens Have Odafe Oweh-Sized Decision to Make

The Baltimore Ravens take a lot of pride in their defense, especially their ability to get to the quarterback, seemingly at will.

And one of the biggest factors in that is star edge rusher Odafe Oweh.

The Ravens are going to have a lot of free agents to pay at the end of the 2025 season, and they will not be able to satisfy everyone. According to The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec, he thinks Owen is going to one of the players that might be too expensive.

"At least earlier this offseason, the Ravens weren’t acting like a team that was prioritizing a new deal with Oweh. That’s understandable with how many other contract questions they have. Still, with another double-digit sack season, Oweh may price himself out of Baltimore."

The Ravens were second in the league this past season in sacks only behind the Denver Broncos, and that was due in no small part to the great play of Oweh.

The 26-year-old linebacker finished the 2024 season with23 quarterback hits, as well as 10 sacks, which was double his total from 2023. He also racked up 39 total tackles, with nine of them being for a loss.

While the Ravens are most likely going to have to let some players go next offseason, it might be worth it for the team to heavily consider keeping a player of Oweh's caliber around. With him being just 26 years old, he could be a key part of the team's defense for years to come.
