Ravens HC John Harbaugh reveals player he's 'excited about' in 2023

There are a lot of players to be excited about on the Ravens' 2023 roster, but head coach John Harbaugh made sure to highlight one specific player on Tuesday.

"J.K.'s got a lot of dynamic ability," Harbaugh told reporters. "As a receiver out of the backfield, I think he's got a lot of potential. So, very excited about J.K. [Dobbins] and how he's going to fit in here."

Dobbins is heading into an important season as its the final year on his rookie deal. After playing in just eight games in 2022 and missing all of 2021, he must prove he can be a reliable back in 2023.

Although, he did begin to show he could be Baltimore's bell cow late in the year.

"Looking at Weeks 14 through 17 — after he returned from midseason knee surgery — Dobbins led the league in both rush yards (397) and yards per carry (7.0) in that span (min. 35 carries). With the 24-year-old averaging 5.9 yards per carry thus far in the NFL, I can't wait to see his numbers if he stays healthy in 2023," NFL Network's Maurice Jones-Drew writes.

The Ravens could have added to their running back room this offseason but decided not to do so, at least thus far, with several capable veterans still available in free agency.

Baltimore has certainly given Dobbins a vote of confidence. Now, it is Dobbins' turn to prove the team right in 2023.
