Last preseason, the Baltimore Ravens hosted the Green Bay Packers for joint practice sessions. Now, the reigning AFC North champions will be practicing with another NFC contender.

According to JoeBucsFan.com, the Ravens will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for joint practices in Baltimore this preseason. While the Ravens do not usually play their starters a whole lot before the start of the regular season, they take joint practice pretty seriously.

Last preseason when the team was practicing against the Packers, head coach John Harbaugh explained his mindset when it comes to joint practices.

"Like we said last week, the important thing is who you practice against and the mindset of the two teams going in," Harbaugh told reporters. "These two teams had the right mindset going in, and therefore we got good work in. I was happy with it, and I believe (Packers head coach Matt) LaFleur was happy with it too."

Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson has not played in the preseason since 2021, as the team does not want to risk a player of his caliber getting hurt in a game that is not nearly as important.

With that being said, Harbaugh and Jackson relish the opportunity to practice against good competition. With the Buccaneers winning the NFC South for the fourth year in a row this past season, they are a team that could challenge the Ravens and make the most of the joint practice.
