Ravens' Justin Tucker, Devin Duvernay named to midseason All-Pro team

The Baltimore Ravens have the No. 1-ranked special teams unit in the NFL, which explains their prevalence on Pro Football Focus’ midseason All-Pro Team.

Ravens’ kicker Justin Tucker and return specialist Devin Duvernay comprised half of PFF’s First Team All-Pro selections, beating out New York Giants kicker Graham Gano and Jacksonville Jaguars return specialist Jamal Agnew, respectively. 

Tucker, a five-time AP First Team All-Pro selection, is tied for the third-most field goals made (18) and fourth-most extra points made (25), and his made field goal percentage of 90 is tied for sixth among kickers with 10 or more attempts.

The 32-year-old kicker is perfect on attempts from 49 yards or less and he’s made five-of-seven attempts from 50-plus yards. His 58 yarder in Week 5 against Cincinnati is also the sixth-longest field goal of the year.

“There isn’t a better kicker in the league than Justin Tucker — and arguably not a better one in the history of the game,” PFF said. “He is in a class of one.”

Duvernay, an AP First Team All-Pro selection last season, has returned eight kickoffs for 255 yards through nine games, averaging an NFL-best 31.9 yards per return. His 103-yard return touchdown against the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 is the longest return in the NFL, and it’s the only touchdown scored on a kick return this season.

He also ranks second in punt return average (15.1 yards per return), and he has the ninth-most punt return yardage in the league (166).

“There has been one touchdown scored on a kick or punt return this season, and that belongs to Devin Duvernay,” PFF said. “He has above-average grades and average returns as both a kick and punt returner.”
