Ravens Legend Bryant McKinnie Selected for Major Honor

In what qualifies as a major honor, former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie has been selected for inclusion in the University of Miami's Ring of Honor.

McKinnie will be part of the 2025 class which also features former NFL quarterback Ken Dorsey, who led Miami to a national title in 2001. Also included in the class is Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Andre Johnson and Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan, who starred as a linebacker for the Hurricanes.

The left tackle McKinnie played at Miami for two seasons and did not allow a quarterback sack during his tenure in Coral Gables. He was also a member of the 2001 national championship team. He was selected as a first-team All American both of his seasons at Miami and won the Outland Trophy as the nations top lineman in 2001.

McKinnie would go on to become the seventh pick in the first round by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2002 NFL Draft. He would late win a championship  with the Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII.

He was already selected for admission into the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. 

This group of will be admitted into the Ring of Honor on Oct. 25.

"We are thrilled to welcome Ken, Andre, Bryant and Dan into the Ring of Honor," Vice President/Director of Athletics Dan Radakovich said in a university release. "This incredible quartet of Canes competed during one of Miami's most dominant stretches and features three national champions, three first-round draft picks and seven national player award winners."
