Ravens Need The Best From Stanley
USA Today Sports

The Baltimore Ravens are poised to make a deep run this season behind star quarterback Lamar Jackson, but they will need offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley to be playing at his highest level to give them the best chance at a Super Bowl.

“He needs to get stronger and get his technique right,” Harbaugh said via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. “He needs to get out at practice and keep growing back into it. … He’s a great player. We want to get him back into playing at that high level.”

Stanley has played in eight seasons for the Ravens since they drafted him with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He has had an up-and-down career, showing at times that he can be one of the best tackles in the world, but also struggling to maintain that level of performance.

In 2019, he was recognized as one of the best tackles in the NFL, making First Team All-Pro and the Pro Bowl, both for the first time in his career. He has yet to return to the Pro Bowl or be named to an All-Pro team since.

This season, Stanley has dealt with two injuries to the same knee, which has impacted his ability to perform at the highest level on the field. Baltimore is hopeful that the bye week will give Stanley, among others, time to heal and recover before the last stretch of games to end the season

The Ravens currently sit atop the AFC with a 9-3 record and are a serious contender for the Super Bowl this year.
