Ravens' newly signed undrafted free agent caught 10 TDs from Lamar Jackson in high school

The Baltimore Ravens have given quarterback Lamar Jackson several new weapons this offseason, but one signing in particular may mean a little more to the 2019 NFL MVP.

Donte Sylencieux was among nine undrafted free agents signed by Baltimore on Thursday. The Graceland University wide receiver previously played with Jackson at Boynton Beach Community High School, where he caught 10 touchdown passes from Jackson across two years (h/t CBS Sports).

Jackson went from Boynton Beach to Louisville, where he won the 2016 Heisman trophy and recorded 9,043 passing yards and 69 passing touchdowns alongside 4,132 rushing yards and 50 rushing touchdowns from 2015-17. The Ravens took him 32nd overall in the 2018 NFL draft.

Realistically, this reunion will be short-lived. Graceland's program competes in the NAIA, for one, and Baltimore has already been plenty busy addressing wide receiver.

The team signed former No. 4 overall pick Sammy Watkins in early April. Watkins last played for the Kansas City Chiefs — helping them win Super Bowl LIV in February 2020 — from 2018 through last year. The 27-year-old has racked up 4,665 yards and 33 touchdowns through the air since entering the league, including a 1,000-yard-receiving campaign with Buffalo in 2015.

Additionally, the Ravens added Minnesota wideout Rashod Bateman in the first round (No. 27 overall) then Oklahoma State wide receiver Tylan Wallace in the fourth round of this year's draft.

Marquise Brown was Baltimore's leading receiver last season with 769 yards and eight touchdowns.
