Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti is in win-now mode. Baltimore's 2024 season came to a dramatic end during the divisional rounds at the hands of the Buffalo Bills.
Lamar Jackson, in the middle of his prime, is missing a Super Bowl win in his already impressive resume. Bisciotti believes the 2025 season will be perfect for the quarterback to win his first Larry O'Brien trophy.
The Ravens have made the postseason in six of the last seven seasons, but they haven't been able to advance to the big game. Talking with reporters at the NFL annual owners meeting, Bisciotti said:
“We’ve got a window with Lamar,” he explained, per Ravens staff writer Clifton Brown. “I know what we can do. I know that we worked to put ourselves in position to win. We all get credit for that. That’s all you can do. I hate it that every year, you just have to start back over again. But you know what? This is not for the meek.”
Bisciotti added that his desire was to see not only Jackson but the rest of the team, from the players to the executives, enjoy the satisfaction of winning a Super Bowl. That said, he's impatient with the team's lack of success over a decade since their last Super Bowl win.
"I don't like waiting 12 years, yet I'm respectful of the fact that I've got partners (owners) downstairs that still don't have one. Impatience is good for you. I think it's healthy to a degree because you know all of us still feel it."
The Ravens have renewed expectations with Jackson, Derrick Henry and newcomer DeAndre Hopkins to compete for the championship in 2025.
