Ravens Place Kendall Lamm On Reserve/Retired List

Lamm just signed with the Ravens on Aug. 3, but he has quickly ended his bid for a roster spot. The 2015 undrafted free agent from Appalachian State will hang up his cleats after combining for 132 appearances and 44 starts with four different teams.

Lamm began his NFL career in Houston, where he recorded 28 starts in 55 games over four seasons. As the Texans’ primary right tackle in 2018, he played 15 games and registered personal bests in offensive snaps (929) and starts (13). Lamm parlayed that showing into a two-year, $7MM deal with the Browns during the next offseason.

While Lamm stayed in Cleveland for the length of the contract, he only made three starts in 19 games. The 305-pounder’s shining moment as a Brown came as a receiver, not a blocker. In Week 13 of the 2020 campaign, Lamm caught a 1-yard touchdown from Baker Mayfield to help the Browns to a 41-35 win over the Titans.

In March 2021, several months after Lamm celebrated a TD at their expense, the Titans brought him in on a two-year, $8.5MM contract. But after he played just 78 offensive snaps over 12 games (one start) in the first year of the deal, the Titans released him.

Lamm had short stays in Detroit and Philadelphia in recent years, though all of his playing time from 2022-25 came with the Dolphins. He started in 16 of 46 games in Miami during that four-year stretch, but he was on the field for a mere 59 snaps (52 on special teams) last season. Lamm is now walking away with approximately $16.33MM in career earnings, per Spotrac.
