Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Joins Exclusive Club on Monday

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is considered to be among the top passers in the NFL, and some believe he should’ve won the NFL MVP award last season after passing for 4,172 yards, 41 touchdowns and just four interceptions, and rushing for another 914 yards and four more scores.

However, perhaps Jackson will take some solace in being the highest-rated quarterback in “Madden 26” along with the player he lost the MVP to — Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen.

EA Sports revealed the seven players in the “Madden 26” 99 club, and as the Ravens announced, Jackson was on the list along with Allen, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson, Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja’Marr Chase, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson, and Cleveland Browns edge-rusher Myles Garrett.

Jackson and Allen are the two-highest rated QBs in “Madden 26,” which marks Jackson’s first time starting the season with an overall 99 rating (he previously hit the mark with player ratings being adjusted in-season.)

“Aye, this is crazy,” Jackson said as he looked at the exclusive 99 chain he was given for his accomplishment. “I appreciate you guys. Shoutout to ‘Madden’ for putting me in the 99 club again. Let's get ready for this season.”

The game lists him as having an improviser archetype, meaning he’s among the top playmakers both running and passing.

Jackson had a 98 overall rating in “Madden 25” and was the second-highest rated passer behind Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes. Conversely, Allen made a big jump from 92 last year to 99 this year.

Among Jackson’s top attributes in the game are his throw on the run (99), throw under pressure (98), break sack (98), ball-carrier vision (98), play action (98), awareness (97), speed (96), acceleration (95), and change of direction (95).
