In two short seasons, Kyle Hamilton has become one of the top safeties in all of football for the Baltimore Ravens.
Picked with the 14th overall selection in 2022, Hamilton was considered a Swiss army knife in the secondary.
He's held that belief true in just 19 starts.
Hamilton recorded 83 tackles in 2023 with four interceptions, three sacks, and 13 passes defended and made it to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his NFL career.
A fun time in Orlando wasn't the only accolade that the Notre Dame product earned though.
On Wednesday afternoon, the NFL's Player Association unveiled their All-Pro list picked by players throughout the league over the year. By that vote, Hamilton was named a first-team All-Pro by his peers - a sign that his play has gathered plenty of attention in just two short years.
It's left the 22-year-old humbled at the thought of having the rest of the league's eyes on him.
"It was cool to see, for sure," Hamilton said. "It’s something that I’ve dreamed of since I can remember what being an All-Pro is. It’s a dream until it happens. It’s pretty cool to be voted on by my peers, which in my opinion is the most important opinion. Just to be voted by guys who I’ve looked up to and still look up to, to this day – to be honored by a group of people who are the best around the league. It’s an honor.”
There are bigger sights that Hamilton and his teammates are looking toward, though.
His Ravens had the best record in the regular season and have a first-round bye during Wild Card weekend. With home-field advantage, that means Baltimore could very well have every game played at M&T Bank Stadium until the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
To him, that's the only thing that matters.
"At the end of the day, nameless [and] faceless opponent, so we’re going to approach every game like we do in the past and like every opponent we approach. It doesn't matter who we play in my opinion," Hamilton explained. "I think we’re just going to prepare for them the same way.”
